How Does Community Supported Agriculture Work?

A CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture, is a model of food production and distribution that directly connects farmers and consumers. Typically, individuals or families purchase "shares" or memberships in a farm's harvest at the beginning of the growing season. In return, they receive regular distributions of fresh, locally-grown produce throughout the season. This arrangement supports local farmers by providing them with an upfront investment and helps consumers access fresh and seasonal produce while fostering a connection to the source of their food.
