Frequently Asked Questions

Can you deliver my csa box to my home?

Yes, we can deliver to your home for an additional fee of $18. Deliveries are dropped off on Fridays or Saturdays for the duration of the season. As of now we only deliver to and around the following areas: Hallandale, Aventura, Highland Lakes, Miami Shores, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and South Miami. If you live close to one of these areas ask us if we can deliver to you and we will do our best to fit you in.

Where are your csa pick up locations?

Saturdays at our stand at Legion park Farmers Market and at Mamey Restaurant in Coral Gables.

What happens if I choose delivery and I'm not home at the time of delivery?

If you are not home to receive your share, the box will be left at the front door or reception if your residence has one. We can only deliver to buildings with a reception because we can't walk up to your apartment (we have too many deliveries and not enough time to do this).

Just keep in mind this food fact: Half of the farm labor goes to harvest and storage. Most vegetables need to stay in cool conditions after harvest to remain fresh. This is a crucial step and we strive to deliver the produce as fresh as possible, so if you won't be home to receive your share hand on hand directly from your farmer, we recommend that you don't let your box sit outside the fridge for any time longer than absolutely needed.

What happens if I choose pick up and I can't come to pick it up one week because I will be out of town or busy?

Try to have a friend, family member or neighbor who can pick it up for you or themselves. If you can't find anyone who wants your share then please give us 48hrs notice so we don't harvest it for you or find someone who will take it. You can also arrange for your own delivery service and we will gladly send your share as long as it's picked up during the pick up times and locations.

If you can't arrange any of the above, you will forfeit your share and we'll donate it to a family or a place in need.

Is my 50% deposit refundable?

All payments and deposits are non-refundable. The csa deposit reserves your spot in the program and will be put towards the total cost of your share.

What happens if I do not pay on time?

The remainder of your payment (if you paid a deposit) must be made by July 15, 2023. If you do not pay by this date, you will lose your spot on the csa program (unless you reach out to us and agree on an alternative payment plan) and the space will open up for someone else who may wish to join. Since the csa model is a collaborative effort, we depend on the commitment of our members and community all the way.

What kinds of vegetables and fruits do you grow?

We grow all sorts of vegetables, fruits and herbs throughout the season click here to see a list of crops that we grow..

Do you offer half shares?

Our shares are custom ordered so you can order as much or as little as you like. We have however added a small share this season which is basically a salad box. This salad box will include around 6 weekly items that are perfect for making salads, things like lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, radishes, scallions, carrots. In short the best salad ingredients! The salad box is by farmers choice, it is not a custom membership (custom csa membership is sold out for the upcoming season).

When can we visit the farm?

We understand that visiting the farm where your food comes from is part of the experience of being a member of a csa program. We will schedule a couple open farm dates during the season, where you will be able to tour the farm and talk to your farmers. Free farm visits are available for csa members only, please reach out if you'd like to visit the farm. We will be offering guided tours for non csa members for the first time this season, if you're interested in a guided tour please reach out here and we can schedule your visit.

Is everything that comes in the box from your farm?

Mostly yes! We try to grow all the veggies right on our farm. This is not always possible for a number of reasons and on occasion we will include items from other small and local farms, we will always let you know where those items come from and we always strive to make sure that any produce we bring in from other farms is grown in a responsible and regenerative environment free of pesticides and herbicides.
